If you end up at level 40 in Act 5 NM, you're going to level faster than being level 40 in Act 1 NM, even though the levels are off. It matters if monsters are too far below you still, but there's no upper cap. That's why when you hit level 25 in a hell chaos run, you suddenly jump up like 5 levels immediately. At level 25, you no longer have any reduction on monsters higher than you, or at least not a relevant one. Secondly, perhaps more important, is the experience gains. Unless it's a hidden single player strat I'm unaware of, it's just easier to hit 24 in cows or tombs and then baal. Chaos runs in normal, as you list 22-32, aren't a thing, and I've never seen them be a thing. It's been "standard" practice (though I can't vouch for efficiency), that you Trist is 1-15, Tombs is 15-20 or 24, cows is 20-24 if you prefer that over tombs, and then baal runs from 25-40/45/50. The majority of this is off the top of my head, and it may be slightly different and maybe I'm wrong in some areas, but I've put more hours into Diablo studying than almost anything else in my life.įor example, the leveling route. I have to question the validity of this thread, because as someone who has binged Diablo for years, a lot of this is close but doesn't add up. Maintain maximum experience as you level: (XP chart: )Ģ0-24ish = Cow Runs ( or 22-30ish Chaos Runs) Farm Act bosses on "/players3": this caps out the loot drop table and prevents the boss from dropping nothing. Type "/playersX" (x = 1 - 8)(Only works in Single Player): Each increase in player count will increase mob HP & Dmg but also increases the experience you receive and number of loot dropped (every other level 3, 5, 7). (unless its just too fun? Ash Getchum: "Gotta kill-em-all!" >:D ) Also Champion groups give 300% experience, so don't waste too much time killing many normal mobs. Focus on Killing Boss Groups: They give 500% experience and are 3 lvls higher than area level. If you progress through the game too quickly, or too slowly, you will soon find that your experience gained has significantly slowed or seems to have stopped entirely. The experience you gain from monsters in D2 is actually highly dependent upon the Act in which you are killing. Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
